Foosackly’s opened our first store in Mobile, Al in 2000 with a staff of less than 10 people.
We didn't open up with a business plan that charted our growth in sales, workforce, or revenue. We’ve always just kept our head down, worked hard at perfecting what we do, and expected success to follow. Every day we make a commitment to serving great food in a clean environment, with quick, friendly, and attentive service. Our goal is to be the best at this and we strive day in and day out to reach that goal.

We talk about leadership a lot over here and we’re big into developing our people.
We may be in the restaurant industry, but we are in the people business too. We try never to lose sight of this. The overwhelming majority of our managers have come up through the ranks Many have started here in high school or college and have stayed because of the potential for personal and professional growth. They just can't see themselves working anywhere else. At the same time, we're always looking to attract talented and determined people to join the team, regardless of their background. We have several leaders from other industries and restaurants bringing their own ideas and talents. We simply couldn’t be doing what we do today without our team. We love seeing our people grow; it’s what excites us.
Our culture is important to us.
Step into any of our restaurants and you'll see it in action. We take great care to build an environment where good people want to stay. We have fun, stay positive, and are results oriented. The leaders in our restaurants are responsible for building that type of culture every day. When we aren’t building culture inside the restaurant, we are building it outside the restaurant. Our teams get together for events like annual kickball tournaments, private movie premiers, holiday parties and many other fun activities. For our crew this isn't just a job, it’s a home.

Our approach to work is different than most restaurants.
Our managers have a good work/life balance because it just makes sense. We want our people focused on delivering results with their team when they are in their stores and they can’t do that if they are overworked and burnt out. It’s not that we aren’t driven, it’s just that life isn’t just about work. We are closed on all major holidays so we can spend time with family and friends. We are sensitive to scheduling needs week in and week out. We have multiple leaders in stores so that the workload doesn’t fall on one person’s shoulders. When it’s all said and done, we understand the need for a balance between work and life because we’re human too.
To be successful here you must have a passion for it.
This isn't the start of the 'needed qualifications' section, but this is an honest assessment of what we value and what success looks like within our organization. The passion has to be for the people and for our brand. We don't have 'hug it out sessions', but we’re passionate about connecting with our people and our customers. We aren't classically trained chefs, but we’re passionate about our high standards within our kitchen. Our pursuit for improvement is relentless. If you want to succeed in that type of environment, passion is key.
